Product

VGP is encryption software sold / distributed under a personal license for the branded download package. Underlying source in the package is also available under the MIT License (see LICENSE in the artifact).

License (£2.99 personal)

A personal license grants you the right to use VGP for your own personal purposes on devices you control. It is not a transfer of trademark rights in “VGP” or “PGP”. Redistribution of paid branded builds as your own product is not permitted without a separate agreement.

No warranty

Software is provided “as is”. Cryptography is hard; early versions may contain bugs. You are responsible for threat modeling, backups, and key custody. We are not liable for lost keys, plaintext disclosure due to misuse, or damages arising from use of the software to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Trademarks

VGP is an independent product. PGP is a trademark of its respective owners. VGP is not affiliated with or endorsed by Phil Zimmermann, Network Associates, Symantec, or any official PGP® product.

Acceptable use

Do not use VGP to violate applicable law. Encryption is a dual-use tool; you remain responsible for your use.
